Microstone Thin-Ground Microquartz

Microstone Thin-Ground is a microquartz system that recreates the look of natural polished stone as a seamless, continuous floor. Laid at 5–7 mm and polished, it combines a high-end decorative finish with real structural strength — rated CT-C40-F7 — for homes, hotels, shops and public spaces.

It works indoors, outdoors and in swimming pools, and is mixed with Microstone Liquido Finish. Available in a 10-colour chart.

How it's applied

1. Prepare — concrete ≥28 days old, compressive strength > 25 N/mm², below 4% moisture. Grind until the aggregate shows; mill and vacuum non-absorbent stone.
2. Prime — apply the Primer 2C system; 1–2 coats of Hidroprimer if needed before pouring. Reinforce weak cement bases with silicate hardener.
3. Mix — one 25 kg bag with 8–9 L Microstone Liquido Finish, 5 minutes at low speed, rest 2 minutes.
4. Apply — Ground at approx. 3 kg/m² in two coats, then Thin at approx. 2 kg/m² in two coats, 5–7 mm in total. Respect perimeter (min. 5 mm), expansion and movement joints.
5. Polish — dry polish after 1 day.

Do not apply above 85% ambient humidity, on rising damp, on degraded or unstable floors, or on calcium sulphate or lime mortars. Underfloor heating: switch off 24 hours before and restart gradually no sooner than 21 days after completion.
