At homeofclay.com, we are committed to providing accurate and timely delivery of your orders. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. For information about returns, cancellations, and refunds, please refer to our Returns Policy and Refund Policy.

1. Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times are displayed on individual product pages as a guide. Unless a specific delivery date has been agreed with you at the time of purchase, we will deliver your order within 30 calendar days of receiving it, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Some orders are bespoke or include tiles sourced from overseas. These items may have longer delivery timeframes, which will be clearly stated on the relevant product pages before you place your order.

2. Processing Times

Once your item arrives at our warehouse and stock availability is confirmed, we will process and dispatch your order within 48 hours. You will receive a dispatch notification by email once your order has been sent.

3. Delivery Area

We deliver to UK mainland addresses only. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to deliver to the following areas:

  • Scottish Highlands and Islands
  • Northern Ireland
  • Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, and Channel Islands
  • Postcodes: PA2, IV2, KW and other remote or offshore postcode areas

4. Delivery Method

The delivery method used will depend on the size and weight of your order:

  • Large orders (tiles and stone): Typically palletised and delivered kerbside. The driver will deliver to the kerbside only -- please ensure you have adequate arrangements in place to move goods from the kerbside to your desired location.
  • Smaller items (taps, mixers, thermostats): Delivered by tracked parcel carrier. You will receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery charges will be clearly displayed at checkout before you complete your order, in compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. No delivery charges will be added at the final stage of checkout that were not displayed earlier.

5. Expedited Delivery

If you require faster delivery, please contact us at sales@homeofclay.co.uk or call 01782 617517 before placing your order. Where expedited delivery is available, any additional charges will be clearly communicated and agreed with you before your order is confirmed.

6. Risk and Responsibility During Transit

The risk of loss or damage to goods remains with us until the goods are delivered to you and you have taken physical possession of them. Once delivery has been completed and signed for, responsibility for the goods passes to you.

7. Inspection of Goods on Delivery

We strongly recommend that you inspect your order promptly upon receipt. If your goods are missing, visibly damaged, or incorrect, please notify us as soon as possible -- ideally within 24 hours of delivery -- by emailing sales@homeofclay.co.uk with your order number and photographs where possible. This allows us to resolve any issues quickly.

Please note: Notifying us within 24 hours helps us resolve issues more efficiently, but it does not limit your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have up to 30 days to reject faulty or not-as-described goods for a full refund, regardless of when you reported the issue to us.

8. Delivery Delays

If we are unable to deliver your order within the agreed or stated timeframe, we will notify you promptly by email and offer you the option to:

  • Agree to a revised delivery date, or
  • Cancel your order for a full refund, including any delivery charges paid

We are not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers, supplier lead times, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather or industrial action. However, your statutory right to cancel and receive a full refund if the 30-day delivery period is not met remains unaffected.

9. Failed or Missed Deliveries

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to no one being available to receive the goods, the carrier will leave a card with instructions for rescheduling or collection. If goods are returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. Additional delivery charges may apply for re-delivery where the failed attempt was not due to our error.

10. Cancellations and Refunds

Your rights to cancel an order and receive a refund are set out in full in our Returns Policy and Refund Policy. In summary, you have the right to cancel within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Certain product types are exempt -- please refer to those policies for full details.
