ABK Alter Ego Resin-Effect Porcelain Tiles

Alter Ego is ABK’s resin-effect collection — ten plain colours with the soft trowelled texture of hand-applied resin, in the most modular size range we carry.

The ten colours

A warm side — Cream, Mou, Cotto, Bark, Clay, Sand — and a cool one — Milk, Ash, Concrete, Mud. All ten share every size, so colours can be banded, checked or blocked freely.

Specification

• Material: Full-body porcelain stoneware, made in Italy by ABK (Fiorano, Modena)
• Thicknesses: 6mm (120x280) and 8.5mm (all other sizes)
• Sizes: 120x280 slab, 120x120, 60x120, 60x60, 30x30, plus 20x120, 10x60 and 5x120 listelli for banding and detail
• Finish: matt Naturale Rettificato; R11 anti-slip available in selected colours (ask us)
• Application: Internal floors and walls

How to use it

The point of Alter Ego is the joint plan: a 60x120 floor with a 5x120 listello shadow-line, or 120x280 slabs run wall-to-wall for a seamless resin look without a resin floor’s maintenance. Keep grout within a shade of the tile and the trowelled texture does the work.

Ordering & delivery

• Sold by: the m² for standard sizes; large-format slabs (120x280 and 160x320) are sold per piece — each listing shows the m² a slab covers
• Prices: inclusive of VAT
• Crated sizes: 120x280 and 160x320 slabs travel on a crate or A-frame and 120x120 on a boarded pallet — a handling charge is added at the basket and confirmed before despatch
• Delivery: 4–6 weeks, ordered from Italy. Non-stocked lines are made to order
• Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs

See it before you buy

Marble-effect porcelain lives or dies on the quality of the graphic, and no thumbnail does a 2.8-metre slab justice. Samples are available to order, and the ABK ranges are on display at our luxury interiors showroom in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, where you can see whole slabs rather than chips.
