Product description

Hyper is the quiet one — a near-plain, fine-grained stone in four greyscale tones, and the collection with the biggest format in our Flaviker range at 160x320cm.

The four tones

White is the palest and the most used on walls; Silver a light warm grey and the only colour made in the 160x320 slab; Grey the mid-tone; and Taupe the one warm colour of the four, closer to a putty than a grey. There is almost no veining in any of them — the interest is in the grain, which is why Hyper takes so well to a large format.

How to use it

A 160x320 slab will clad a shower wall or an island in one or two pieces. Decide the cutting layout before ordering and we will confirm face positions with the factory. At 6mm it is a slab for walls and cladding rather than a floor.

Because Hyper is so nearly plain, it is the collection to reach for when something else in the room is doing the work — a veined marble vanity, a timber kitchen, a strong colour on the joinery. It is also the most forgiving floor we sell in a large format, since a plain graphic hides a cut better than a veined one.

  • Sold by: the m² for standard sizes; 120x280, 160x320 are sold per piece — each listing shows the m² a slab covers
  • Prices: inclusive of VAT and of delivery from the factory in Italy
  • Delivery: charged at the basket by the weight of your order — UK mainland kerbside pallet. Most 8.5mm porcelain runs about 19kg per m², 6mm slabs about 16.5kg per m², and 20mm X20 about 45kg per m²
  • Crated sizes: 160x320, 120x280, 120x120 travel on a crate, A-frame or boarded pallet — an oversized pallet handling charge is added at the basket and confirmed before despatch
  • Lead time: 4–6 weeks, ordered from Italy. Non-stocked lines are made to order
  • Minimum order: one full box — part boxes cannot be supplied
  • Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs

FAQs

How much should I order?

Measure the area in m² and add 10% for cuts, breakages and spares for future repairs (15% for herringbone or diagonal layouts). Tiles are sold in full boxes only. Use the box calculator next to the price: it adds the 10%, rounds up to whole boxes and fills in the quantity for you.

What does rectified mean?

Rectified tiles are ground to an exact size after firing, giving straight, sharp edges. That allows tight grout joints of around 2–3 mm. Non-rectified (natural-edge) tiles need a slightly wider joint.

What do R10, R11 and A+B mean?

R ratings (DIN 51130) measure slip resistance in shoes: R10 suits most indoor floors, and R11 suits outdoor areas and wet, heavy-use spaces. A+B (DIN 51097) is the barefoot wet rating, used for showers and pool surrounds. The rating for your chosen finish is shown under Technical information.

What does V3 shade variation mean?

V3 means moderate variation in shade and pattern from tile to tile, as you'd see in natural stone. Draw tiles from several boxes as you lay, so the variation spreads evenly across the floor.
