Product description
The Coalbrook Decca 2TH Wall Mounted Basin Mixer with Plate DC1009 is supplied with a backplate that covers the wall penetrations rather than leaving two separate escutcheons. It carries the product code DC1009. Available in 4 finishes: Brushed Brass, Chrome, Gunmetal and Brushed Nickel.
Home of Clay is a Coalbrook stockist, with the range on display at our Newcastle-under-Lyme showroom in Staffordshire.
Why the plate version
The backplate is worth considering where pipework is going into an existing wall rather than new studwork. Separate escutcheons expose any misalignment between the two penetrations; a single plate hides it. On a new build with accurate first fix, either will look right.
Wall mounted taps are set out before the wall is closed. Send us the basin model and the counter height and we will check the setting-out with you before anything is ordered.
The pipework below a wall mounted tap is usually more visible, not less. Order the CO5004 exposed bottle trap in a matching finish.

Key features
- Backplate supplied — Covers both penetrations in one piece, which is more forgiving of imperfect first-fix work than separate escutcheons.
- Two tap holes, wall mounted — Clears the basin surround completely.
- Knurled body — The defining Decca detail, easier to grip with wet hands than a smooth lever.
