Deck mounting is the simpler route: no rough, no first-fix commitment, and the filler can be changed later without opening a wall. The trade-off is that three tap holes have to be drilled in the bath rim or surround, which is a decision made with the bath supplier.

Check the flow your system can deliver. A bath filler on a modest supply fills slowly, and a larger bath makes it more obvious.

For a version with a pull-out handspray, the BA2000 is the five-hole arrangement.
