The Bard & Brazier St Leger SLF180/45 is a floor and wall mounted towel rail measuring 1800 x 450mm, a modern take on the traditional towel warmer, with seamless lines that run straight down into the wall or floor. It is available in 12 hand-applied finishes and as a hydronic, sealed electric or dual fuel rail, with a heat output of 4,057 Btu/h (1189W).

Where to use the SLF180/45

The St Leger looks slim and elegant — the 450mm width slots into narrow spaces beside a basin, door or window reveal where most rails will not fit. At 450mm wide it fits the narrow wall beside a basin, door or window that most rails are too wide for. The 1800mm height makes it a full-height rail with room for several towels and bath sheets. It can be fixed to the floor and the wall, so the pipes can come up from the floor while the rail is braced against the wall.

At 4,057 Btu/h (1189W) the SLF180/45 is a high-output rail that can act as the main heat source in many bathrooms as well as warming towels. Ask us for a quick heat-loss check if it is the only heating in the room.

Hydronic, electric or dual fuel

Hydronic connects to your central heating (closed system) or hot water (open system) and works when the heating is on. Sealed electric uses an element heating liquid sealed inside the rail and is hardwired to a fused spur, so it works independently all year round. Dual fuel is plumbed in and also has an element, so it runs on the heating in winter and on electricity in summer. Electric elements are fitted right hand.

Valves are not included in the rail price. Add them in the Valves option above — Bard & Brazier recommend the Pullman exposed valves, Portobello exposed valves, Penhallam exposed valves for the St Leger — and they are made in the same finish as your rail, with the cost added to the price shown. Electric rails do not need valves. Pipe centres for the valves are 220mm, and the rail projects 175mm from the wall.

Measurements may vary slightly because each rail is handmade, so confirm final pipe positions with us before first fix.
