The Bard & Brazier La Fayette LFF155/60 is a floor mounted towel rail measuring 1550 x 600mm, a period-style towel rail with softly rounded corners and ball joints sized so they never overwhelm the frame. It is available in 12 hand-applied finishes and as a hydronic, sealed electric or dual fuel rail, with a heat output of 1,508 Btu/h (442W).

Where to use the LFF155/60

The La Fayette looks classic and quietly luxurious — the natural partner for a roll-top bath, a Victorian or Edwardian house, or a bathroom with panelling and traditional brassware. A 600mm width sits comfortably on most bathroom walls, beside a basin or opposite the shower. The 1550mm height makes it a full-height rail with room for several towels and bath sheets. Being floor mounted the legs carry the weight and the pipes come up from the floor, which suits stud walls, tiled panels and period bathrooms with timber floors.

At 1,508 Btu/h (442W) the LFF155/60 warms towels well and puts real background heat into an average-sized bathroom or en-suite. In a large or poorly insulated room, treat it as a supplement to the main heating.

Hydronic, electric or dual fuel

Hydronic connects to your central heating (closed system) or hot water (open system) and works when the heating is on. Sealed electric uses an element heating liquid sealed inside the rail and is hardwired to a fused spur, so it works independently all year round. Dual fuel is plumbed in and also has an element, so it runs on the heating in winter and on electricity in summer. Electric elements are fitted right hand.
