Microlime Natural Lime Microcement

Microlime is a 100% natural, ready-to-use microcement based on lime aged for 36 months, with dolomite, silica, marble dust and mineral pigments. It sets by absorbing CO₂ from the air, giving a hard, well-bonded wall finish that stays fully breathable and helps regulate humidity.

Thanks to the lime's alkaline pH it is naturally anti-mould and disinfecting — a natural choice for bedrooms, period properties and walls that need to breathe. Available in smooth and rustic finishes, 5 kg and 20 kg pots, in 20 colours.

Supplied by Microstone UK, Newcastle-under-Lyme. Enquire for price, stock and lead time.

How it's applied

1. Prepare — sand to open the pore. Walls with heavy damp should be hacked back and rebuilt with 1–2 cm of Innical lime mortar first. Over tiles or uneven walls, apply 1–2 coats of Microforce RTU Base (0.8 kg/m² per coat), sanding with 80 grit.
2. Prime — one coat of Hidroprimer by roller (80 g/m²).
3. Apply — add the chosen pigment (5% by weight) and mix until uniform. Trowel two coats at approx. 500 g/m² per coat; 3–6 hours between coats.
4. Seal — for a natural look, two coats of Hidrofugante with a sponge float (80 g/m²). For areas in direct contact with water, one coat of Impercoat then two coats of Gelseal (matt or satin) with a flexible plastic trowel.
