Product description

Palette is a flat, chalky plaster surface and the widest colour card Flaviker publishes — ten colours, which makes it the collection to use when the tile has to match joinery or paint rather than the other way round.

The ten colours

The neutrals first: Milk is the palest, then Cream, Sand and Ash through to Concrete and the near-black Mud. Then the warm side: Mou is a soft caramel, Cotto a muted terracotta, Bark a grey-brown, and Clay the dusty pink that has become the collection’s signature.

Every colour is made in every size, which is rare — from a 5x120 strip and a 30x30 through to the 120x280 slab. Only Cream, Sand and Ash are made in R11.

How to use it

Palette is the collection for colour-blocking. Because the surface is flat and nearly graphic-free, two colours butted together read as a deliberate join rather than a mismatch — Clay to Milk in a bathroom, Concrete to Mud in a utility. The 5x120 strip exists for exactly this, as a banding course between two fields.

The matt surface is unforgiving of a poor substrate, so it wants a flat screed and a levelling system on anything above 60x120. Grout to match rather than contrast — the whole point of the collection is that the joint disappears.

FAQs

How much should I order?

Measure the area in m² and add 10% for cuts, breakages and spares for future repairs (15% for herringbone or diagonal layouts). Tiles are sold in full boxes only. Use the box calculator next to the price: it adds the 10%, rounds up to whole boxes and fills in the quantity for you.

What does rectified mean?

Rectified tiles are ground to an exact size after firing, giving straight, sharp edges. That allows tight grout joints of around 2–3 mm. Non-rectified (natural-edge) tiles need a slightly wider joint.

What do R10, R11 and A+B mean?

R ratings (DIN 51130) measure slip resistance in shoes: R10 suits most indoor floors, and R11 suits outdoor areas and wet, heavy-use spaces. A+B (DIN 51097) is the barefoot wet rating, used for showers and pool surrounds. The rating for your chosen finish is shown under Technical information.

What does V3 shade variation mean?

V3 means moderate variation in shade and pattern from tile to tile, as you'd see in natural stone. Draw tiles from several boxes as you lay, so the variation spreads evenly across the floor.

How long does delivery take?

COEM tiles are shipped from Italy, typically within 2–4 weeks. Delivery is free on orders of £750 and over; under that, pallet delivery is calculated at checkout. Large-format tiles and slabs (90 × 90 cm and above) always carry a delivery charge, calculated at checkout. Call us on 01782 617517 if you need a firm date.
