Sound of Marbles Mosaics — three mosaics on 30x30 sheets in all five marbles. 5x5 is a straight grid of small squares, 36 to a sheet, in matt or polished. Esagoni is a hexagon, 30 to a sheet. Weave is a two-colour basketweave of 72 pieces.
Sound of Marbles takes marble apart. Where a conventional marble-effect tile reproduces a slab, this one cuts the stone into diagonals, curves and blocks and reassembles them — the decors were drawn by Neropaco for Fioranese, and there are six geometric subjects that combine with the plain tiles or with each other.
The five marbles
Beige Antico is a warm cream with soft movement, the easiest of the five to live with. Rosa Cipria is a powder pink with grey veining — unusual, and the one that makes the collection distinctive. Screziato Vivace is a lively white with strongly mottled grey. Nero Fondo is a deep black with white veins. Verde Intenso is a saturated green, the boldest choice in the range.

The Weave pairings
Weave is a two-colour basketweave and the pairings are set by Fioranese, not chosen. Beige Antico and Rosa Cipria each pair with Nero Fondo; Nero Fondo and Verde Intenso each pair with Rosa Cipria. Screziato Vivace is the exception — it is woven in a single colour. So the colour you order is the dominant marble and its partner comes with it, which is worth checking against your floor before specifying.
Where mosaics earn their keep
A shower floor is the obvious use: the small format lets the sheet follow a fall to the waste, which a large tile cannot. Beyond that, a band of Esagoni at dado height or a niche lined in 5x5 gives a marble bathroom relief without introducing another material. All three cost well above the field tiles per square metre, so they are best used as a deliberate detail.

See it before you buy
Mosaic sheets are almost impossible to judge from a product shot, because what matters is the joint density and how the sheet reads at arm's length. Samples of all five marbles are available to order, and the range is on display at our luxury interiors showroom in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Our team can help with combinations, quantities, trims and adhesive specification. Call 01782 617517 or email sales@homeofclay.co.uk for a quotation or to arrange a visit.
