Sound of Marbles FIOmood Decors — the Neropaco-designed decors that give the collection its name. Marble is cut into diagonals, curves and blocks and pieced back together across the tile, in Nero and Verde, on a 74x148 slab and a 30x60. Polished only.

Sound of Marbles takes marble apart. Where a conventional marble-effect tile reproduces a slab, this one cuts the stone into diagonals, curves and blocks and reassembles them — the decors were drawn by Neropaco for Fioranese, and there are six geometric subjects that combine with the plain tiles or with each other.

Both sizes are supplied as assorted subjects — 18 different patterns across the 74x148 and 20 across the 30x60 — and Fioranese do not guarantee a minimum number of each per box.

Nero or Verde

FIOmood Nero builds from Nero Fondo against the paler marbles and is the more graphic of the two, black shapes reading hard against cream and pink. FIOmood Verde works from Verde Intenso and is softer, the green tempered by the marbles around it. Six geometric subjects run through both, and they can be combined with each other as well as with the plain tiles.

Specifying an assorted decor

Because the subjects are mixed and not guaranteed, order the whole quantity in one delivery and dry-lay the run before fixing — spread the busier subjects evenly rather than finding three together in one corner. Topping up later will not reliably give the same mix. On the 74x148 each tile is a large statement and wants centring deliberately; the 30x60 is better as a band or a full panel.

• Minimum order: 5m²
• Sold by: the m² for field tiles, decors and the 5x5 mosaic; per piece for battiscopa and for the Esagoni and Weave sheets
• Prices: inclusive of VAT. Nero Fondo and Verde Intenso carry a premium over the other three colours
• Full pallet: reduced rate applied automatically on m² field lines — battiscopa and mosaics are special pieces and are not eligible
• Delivery: 4–6 weeks, ordered from Italy. Delivery is charged after purchase, calculated on the weight of your order — we will confirm the cost with you before despatch
• Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs

An assorted geometric decor is the hardest thing of all to show in a photograph, since any one image is a single subject out of eighteen or twenty.
