Fioranese Prestige Decors Marble Marquetry Porcelain Tiles

Prestige Decors — three inlaid patterns cut from the Prestige marbles and pieced back together: Chaos, a fragmented marquetry on the 74x148 slab; Array, an ordered geometric inlay on 30x60; and Batch, a looser block composition, also 30x60.

Prestige is built in pairs. Fioranese designed the six marbles as three light-and-dark couples that share a graphic character: Arabescato with Black Antique, sharply defined veining in cool tones; Statuarietto with Carnico, finer veins, also cool; Borghini with Portoro, softer movement in warmer tones. Each works on its own, but the collection is at its best when a pale floor meets its dark counterpart on a wall or a threshold.

All three are polished only, and all are supplied as assorted subjects — Fioranese do not guarantee a minimum number of each pattern per box.

Soft, Warm and Cold

The decors are sold by palette, and Fioranese specify exactly which marbles go into each. Warm is Borghini and Portoro. Cold is Arabescato, Statuarietto and Carnico. Soft, which is Array only, is Arabescato and Statuarietto. Chaos and Batch are made in Warm and Cold; Array in all three. Note that Black Antique does not appear in any of the decors, so if that is your field tile the decors will not match it directly.

Specifying an assorted decor

Because the subjects are mixed and not guaranteed, order the whole quantity in one go and dry-lay the run before fixing — spread the busier pieces evenly rather than discovering three of them together. Topping up later will not reliably give you the same mix. Chaos on a 74x148 is a single large statement and should be centred deliberately; Array and Batch at 30x60 are better as a band or a full panel.

Ordering & delivery

• Minimum order: 5m²
• Sold by: the m² for field tiles and the 5x5 mosaic; per piece for battiscopa and for the Exa and Weave mosaic sheets
• Prices: inclusive of VAT. Black Antique and Portoro Effect carry a premium over the other four colours
• Full pallet: reduced rate applied automatically on m² field lines — battiscopa and mosaics are special pieces and are not eligible
• Delivery: 4–6 weeks, ordered from Italy. Delivery is charged after purchase, calculated on the weight of your order — we will confirm the cost with you before despatch
• Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs

An assorted marquetry decor is the hardest thing of all to show in a photograph, since any one image is a single subject out of several.
