Fioranese Prestige Marble-Effect Porcelain Tiles

Prestige by Fioranese — marble-effect porcelain in six marbles, each made in a matt and a polished finish, across seven sizes from a 74x148 slab down to a 15x15. It is the broadest range Fioranese make, and it is designed to be mixed.

Prestige is built in pairs. Fioranese designed the six marbles as three light-and-dark couples that share a graphic character: Arabescato with Black Antique, sharply defined veining in cool tones; Statuarietto with Carnico, finer veins, also cool; Borghini with Portoro, softer movement in warmer tones. Each works on its own, but the collection is at its best when a pale floor meets its dark counterpart on a wall or a threshold.

The six marbles

Statuarietto Effect is the classic white with fine grey veining, the most widely specified of the six. Borghini Effect is a warmer cream with soft golden movement. Arabescato Effect is white with bold, sharply drawn grey veins. Carnico Effect is a deep grey-black with fine white veining, the dark partner to Statuarietto. Portoro Effect is black with dramatic gold veining — the boldest in the range. Black Antique Effect is a dense black with cool white veins, pairing with Arabescato.

Matt or polished

The matt is the practical choice for a floor: it hides marks, it is not slippery wet, and on a white marble it reads closer to honed stone. The polished has considerably more depth and is what makes Portoro's gold veining and Arabescato's grey actually carry — but it shows footmarks and fine scratching. The usual answer in a bathroom is matt underfoot, polished on the walls, in the same marble.

Sizes and the 15x15

The 74x148 slab shows a whole movement of the veining in one piece and is the format to use on an open floor, though it needs two people and a suction frame. The 74x74 and 60x60 are the practical workhorses. The 7.3x30 is a brick format for vertical or herringbone wall runs. The 15x15 is rated for walls only — Fioranese are explicit about that, so do not specify it for a floor.

Trims, mosaics and decors

Battiscopa skirtings in two lengths and both finishes, three mosaics (5x5, Exa and Weave) and three inlaid decors (Chaos, Array and Batch) are all listed separately. The Weave mosaic in particular is designed around Fioranese's own colour pairings, so it is worth looking at alongside whichever marble you choose.

Prices: inclusive of VAT. Black Antique and Portoro Effect carry a premium over the other four colours
Full pallet: reduced rate applied automatically on m² field lines — battiscopa and mosaics are special pieces and are not eligible
Delivery: 4–6 weeks, ordered from Italy. Delivery is charged after purchase, calculated on the weight of your order — we will confirm the cost with you before despatch
Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs

See it before you buy

Marble effect is the material where photography flatters and misleads in equal measure: the veining is large, so a small image shows a fragment, and the difference between the matt and the polished barely registers on screen.
