Pietraviva Esterno — the outdoor half of the collection, in the same stone and the same four shades as the interior tiles. Two routes: a 9mm Esterno that bonds conventionally and carries the stone through a threshold, and a 20mm gres++ paver with a shaped edge, heavy enough to dry-lay on grass, gravel or pedestals.
Pietraviva reads as a quarried stone that has been used rather than cut yesterday — a fine, even grain with soft tonal drift across the face, in four shades that run from a warm gold through to a pale pink-grey.
The four shades
Dorato is a warm golden stone, the richest of the four. Grigio Chiaro is a cool pale grey and the most architectural. Greige sits between the two and is the easiest to pair with timber. Rosato is a soft pink-grey — understated, and the one that warms a north-facing room.

Which thickness
The 9mm Esterno is the same tile as the interior stone with an outdoor grip surface, so it bonds to a screed and lets the tone and joint line run straight through a set of doors. The 20mm gres++ is a structural paver with a shaped (non-rectified) edge, laid dry on grass, gravel or pedestals with no adhesive — the one to use over a roof deck or where you may want to lift and re-lay. All four shades are made in both.
Outdoors in the Modulo
The mixed-size Modulo is offered in Esterno as well, which is unusual — most collections keep their pattern layouts indoors. A full module remains the contents of two boxes.

See it before you buy
Outdoor porcelain looks quite different wet, and the shaped edge on the 20mm gives a noticeably softer joint line than the rectified 9mm. Samples of all four shades are available to order, and the range is on display at our luxury interiors showroom in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Our team can help with quantities, the Modulo layout, trims and adhesive specification. Call 01782 617517 or email sales@homeofclay.co.uk for a quotation or to arrange a visit.
