Fioranese Marmorea Intensa Marble-Effect Porcelain Tiles

Marmorea Intensa by Fioranese — marble-effect porcelain in five marbles, seven sizes from a 74x148 slab down to a 15x15, in matt and polished. It is the most colourful marble range Fioranese make, and the one to reach for when a white marble would be too quiet.

Marmorea Intensa is Fioranese's boldest marble. Where Prestige and Sound of Marbles work in whites, greys and blacks, this one reaches for the coloured marbles — a deep Brazilian blue, a saturated green, a Levanto red — and prints them at 74x148 so a single tile carries a whole movement of the stone.

The five marbles

Bianco Luce is a bright white with fine grey veining, the most conventional of the five. Venato Caramel is a warm cream with amber movement. Rosso Levanto is a deep oxblood red with white veins — the rarest and the most expensive. Azul Bahia is a saturated cobalt blue with white and gold. Emerald Dream is a rich green. The last three are genuinely bold: these are feature materials rather than backgrounds.

Rosso Levanto is polished only

Worth knowing before you specify: Rosso Levanto is not made in the matt finish in any size. Every other marble runs in both, but the red is polished only, and it also sits in its own higher price band. If you need a matt red marble this collection cannot supply one — and if you are pairing Rosso Levanto with another colour underfoot, plan the finish accordingly.

Matt or polished

The matt is the practical choice for a floor: it hides marks, it is not slippery wet, and on Bianco Luce it reads close to honed stone. The polished has considerably more depth and is what makes Azul Bahia and Emerald Dream actually carry — but it shows footmarks and fine scratching. In a bathroom the usual answer is matt underfoot and polished on the walls.

• Sold by: the m² for field tiles and the 5x5 mosaic; per piece for battiscopa and for the Exa and Weave sheets
• Prices: inclusive of VAT. Azul Bahia and Emerald Dream carry a premium over Bianco Luce and Venato Caramel, and Rosso Levanto sits above both
• Full pallet: reduced rate applied automatically on m² field lines — battiscopa and mosaics are special pieces and are not eligible
• Delivery: 4–6 weeks, ordered from Italy. Delivery is charged after purchase, calculated on the weight of your order — we will confirm the cost with you before despatch
• Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs

See it before you buy

Coloured marble is where screens fail worst: Azul Bahia and Emerald Dream are both far more saturated in reality, and the difference between matt and polished barely registers in a photograph.
