Product description

Castle by COEM is an ancient stone full of history, reinterpreted for modern, comfortable interiors.

The collection

Castle is full-bodied yet understated, with neutral shades that let traditional and contemporary pieces sit together without clashing. With 35 digital faces on the 60.4 × 90.6cm, floors have a natural, varied look. A matching outdoor finish takes the same stone onto terraces.

The colours

Ivory · Grey · Taupe

How to use it

Castle's understated, neutral stone suits rooms where traditional and modern pieces sit together, such as kitchens, hallways and living spaces. Mix the 40 × 60 cm and 60 × 90 cm for a laid-stone look, and use the Outdoor finish to carry the same colour from inside to a terrace or courtyard.

FAQs

How much should I order?

Measure the area in m² and add 10% for cuts, breakages and spares for future repairs (15% for herringbone or diagonal layouts). Tiles are sold in full boxes only. Use the box calculator next to the price: it adds the 10%, rounds up to whole boxes and fills in the quantity for you.

What does rectified mean?

Rectified tiles are ground to an exact size after firing, giving straight, sharp edges. That allows tight grout joints of around 2–3 mm. Non-rectified (natural-edge) tiles need a slightly wider joint.

What do R10, R11 and A+B mean?

R ratings (DIN 51130) measure slip resistance in shoes: R10 suits most indoor floors, and R11 suits outdoor areas and wet, heavy-use spaces. A+B (DIN 51097) is the barefoot wet rating, used for showers and pool surrounds. The rating for your chosen finish is shown under Technical information.

What does V3 shade variation mean?

V3 means moderate variation in shade and pattern from tile to tile, as you'd see in natural stone. Draw tiles from several boxes as you lay, so the variation spreads evenly across the floor.

How long does delivery take?

COEM tiles are shipped from Italy, typically within 2–4 weeks. Delivery is free on orders of £750 and over; under that, pallet delivery is calculated at checkout. Large-format tiles and slabs (90 × 90 cm and above) always carry a delivery charge, calculated at checkout. Call us on 01782 617517 if you need a firm date.
