COEM Bali Slate-Effect Porcelain Tiles

Bali by COEM — dynamic contrasts. Where most stone-effect porcelain aims for consistency, Bali does the opposite: bold, irregular graphics that reinterpret a dense, material slate. Its colour range runs from white to yellow, red to brown, grey through green to rust — the deepest colours of the earth on a single tile.

It was designed with water in mind. Every colour and format is made in an anti-slip Esterno surface rated A+B+C, and the crystalline brilliance of the glaze is at its most striking below the waterline, where deep turquoise, green and shaded blue reflections come through. The 60.4x90.6 is also made in 20mm for laying directly on grass, gravel, sand or pedestals.

Colours

Light Green is the calmer of the two — soft sage and pale stone broken by warm rust and ochre patches, with 39 digital graphics behind it so no two tiles repeat. Polychrome is the dramatic one: deep charcoals and blue-blacks shot through with copper, gold and oxidised orange, drawn from 30 digital graphics.

• Shade variation: V4 – random variation in shade and pattern. This is the whole point of the collection, not a defect
• Durability: frost resistant to ISO 10545-12, abrasion Class 4 (2100 revolutions), fireproof and unaffected by UV, chlorine or de-icing salt
• Health: hypoallergenic, non-absorbent surface that releases no harmful substances
• Sustainability: LEED® compliant, high recycled content, raw materials sourced within 800km, 100% recyclable packaging

What is and is not made

• The 90x90 format is made in Light Green only — there is no Polychrome 90x90
• Everything else, including the 20mm paving and all trims, is made in both colours
• The Elemento Bordo in Esterno Rettificato is available to order on request

• Minimum order: 5m²
• Sold by: the m² for field tiles and the mosaic; per piece for trims, battiscopa, step elements and edge pieces
• Prices: inclusive of VAT
• Full pallet: 5% discount applied automatically
• Delivery: 4–6 weeks (ordered from Italy), charged at checkout on the weight and size of your order
• Allow 10% over your measured area for cuts and future repairs
• Buttering-floating (double-buttering) is recommended when fixing the Elle elements
• The 20mm can be laid on grass, gravel or sand, glued to screed, or used as raised flooring on pedestals

See it before you buy

Bali is a V4 tile and the variation is extreme by design — a single photograph tells you almost nothing about how a floor of it will read. Samples of both colours are available to order, and the range is on display at our luxury interiors showroom in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, where you can see several tiles laid together and judge the variation properly.
