Specifying the CO4001
On water pressure: this fitting wants at least 0.5 bar to perform as intended. Most modern combi and unvented systems clear that comfortably; older gravity-fed systems often do not, and a pump may be the answer.
Finish choice matters more than most people expect. Chrome is the safest long-term choice and the easiest to match to other trades. Brushed Nickel is warmer and more forgiving of water marks. Brushed Brass reads warm and characterful and suits softer, more decorative schemes. Gunmetal is the most dramatic and works best against pale stone or a strongly contrasting tile.
