Specifying the ST916L
A tall storage unit rather than a vanity, with glass shelving inside and interior shelf placement considered rather than incidental. Left-hand and right-hand versions differ only in the hinge side.
Integrated interior lighting is available as an upgrade on the drawer units, though not on the cloakroom sizes. Worth deciding at the point of order rather than later.
Shepherd sits between the two other ranges. It has the warmth of real wood without Farnolls’ industrial weight, and a handle detail that is genuinely sculptural rather than minimal. Two oak finishes rather than seven paint colours, so the decision is about tone rather than colour.
Choosing a basin
The vanity unit price excludes the basin, so this is a second decision rather than an afterthought. There are three routes:
- Port ceramic (gloss) — A soft bowl shape in classic British Standard White, with a fully glazed slit overflow. Available with 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
- Float mineral marble (matt) — Silica-free, made using 100% renewable energy and fully recyclable, built on Dolomite rock. Also 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
- Quartz countertop — Premium quartz in Beach Blanket, Midnight Mill or Whisper White, supplied with 0 tap holes as a base for a separate basin.
The tap hole count is the thing to settle early, because it decides which brassware will fit. Tell us the basin and the tap you have in mind and we will confirm they work together before anything is ordered.
