Product description

The Coalbrook Shepherd 400mm Cloakroom Vanity Unit Left Hand SV904L brings the Shepherd collection to a cloakroom installation. Inspired by the enduring symbolism of the shepherd’s crook, Shepherd pays tribute to a time when craftsmanship and connection to the land stood firm amidst the rapid change of the industrial revolution. The sculpted real wood handles echo that crook shape. Available in 2 wood grain finishes: Light Oak and Deep Oak.

At Home of Clay we are proud stockists of the Coalbrook furniture collection. Visit our Newcastle-under-Lyme showroom in Staffordshire to see the range in person, or talk a specification through with us before you commit to it.

Choosing a basin

The vanity unit price excludes the basin, so this is a second decision rather than an afterthought. There are three routes:

Port ceramic (gloss) — A soft bowl shape in classic British Standard White, with a fully glazed slit overflow. Available with 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
Float mineral marble (matt) — Silica-free, made using 100% renewable energy and fully recyclable, built on Dolomite rock. Also 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
Quartz countertop — Premium quartz in Beach Blanket, Midnight Mill or Whisper White, supplied with 0 tap holes as a base for a separate basin.

The tap hole count is the thing to settle early, because it decides which brassware will fit. Tell us the basin and the tap you have in mind and we will confirm they work together before anything is ordered.

Pricing and availability

Contact us for price. Ask for Matt or Greg on 01782 617517 or email sales@homeofclay.co.uk with the finish and basin you want, and we will come back to you the same working day with a price for the unit and basin together.

Key features

Sculpted real wood crook handles — Shepherd’s defining detail, shaped in real wood rather than applied as hardware.
Blum soft-close hinges — Fitted as standard, with left-hand and right-hand versions so there are no unnecessary fixing holes on the interior.
Internal shelf — An internal shelf provides organised storage in a compact footprint.
Basin priced separately — Coalbrook prices the vanity unit without the basin. Port ceramic, Float mineral marble or a quartz countertop are ordered alongside it — we will quote both together.
20-year guarantee — Backed by Coalbrook’s 20-year guarantee, and fully assembled using 100% renewable energy.

A compact cloakroom unit, sized for a space where every millimetre counts. Left-hand and right-hand versions differ only in which side the hinge sits, so there are no unnecessary fixing holes on the interior.

Interior lighting is not available on the cloakroom sizes.

Shepherd sits between the two other ranges. It has the warmth of real wood without Farnolls’ industrial weight, and a handle detail that is genuinely sculptural rather than minimal. Two oak finishes rather than seven paint colours, so the decision is about tone rather than colour.
