Product description

The Coalbrook Farnolls 1200mm Double Basin Vanity Unit FV9120 brings the Farnolls collection to a bathroom installation. Named after Thomas Farnolls Pritchard, the visionary behind Ironbridge Gorge, Farnolls celebrates the union of traditional joinery and innovative design. Tapered lap joints on the drawer front, fully framed in real wood, and a large single drawer with a glass-sided interior. Available in one specialised wood finish: Smoked Oak, chosen to portray the industrial heritage from which the Coalbrook brand was born.

At Home of Clay we are proud stockists of the Coalbrook furniture collection. Visit our Newcastle-under-Lyme showroom in Staffordshire to see the range in person, or talk a specification through with us before you commit to it.

Choosing a basin

The vanity unit price excludes the basin, so this is a second decision rather than an afterthought. There are three routes:

Port ceramic (gloss) — A soft bowl shape in classic British Standard White, with a fully glazed slit overflow. Available with 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
Float mineral marble (matt) — Silica-free, made using 100% renewable energy and fully recyclable, built on Dolomite rock. Also 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
Quartz countertop — Premium quartz in Beach Blanket, Midnight Mill or Whisper White, supplied with 0 tap holes as a base for a separate basin.

The tap hole count is the thing to settle early, because it decides which brassware will fit. Tell us the basin and the tap you have in mind and we will confirm they work together before anything is ordered.

Pricing and availability

Contact us for price. Ask for Matt or Greg on 01782 617517 or email sales@homeofclay.co.uk with the finish and basin you want, and we will come back to you the same working day with a price for the unit and basin together.

Key features

Tapered lap joints and real wood framing — A level of joinery detail that sets Farnolls apart from standard bathroom furniture.
Glass-sided drawers and quality hardware — Tinted glass-sided drawer boxes, Blum hinges and Grass runners, so every drawer and door performs as well as it looks.
Basin priced separately — Coalbrook prices the vanity unit without the basin. Port ceramic, Float mineral marble or a quartz countertop are ordered alongside it — we will quote both together.
20-year guarantee — Backed by Coalbrook’s 20-year guarantee, and fully assembled using 100% renewable energy.

Sized for two basins, which changes the brassware decision as much as the furniture one — you will need two sets of taps and two wastes, and the tap hole count on each basin has to match.

Integrated interior lighting is available as an upgrade on the drawer units, though not on the cloakroom sizes. Worth deciding at the point of order rather than later.

Farnolls draws directly from the industrial architectural heritage that defines Coalbrook. The smoked oak was chosen for meaning rather than trend, and the extra-depth units are the only route in the collection to an undermount basin with a quartz countertop.
