The Coalbrook Domo Freestanding Bath Shower Mixer DO2001 is the floor-mounted mixer for a freestanding bath, supplied with a handset and with the rough included. It carries the product code DO2001. The rough goes into the floor before the screed, so this is ordered early and set out precisely against where the bath will finally sit. Available in 4 finishes: Brushed Brass, Chrome, Gunmetal and Brushed Nickel.

Getting the position right

This is a first-fix decision with no second chance. The rough sets into the floor before the screed goes down, and its position is fixed against where the bath will stand. Get it wrong and correcting it means lifting the floor.

Two things to settle before ordering: the exact bath model and its final position, and which side the tap column stands on. A freestanding bath is often moved 100mm during a build to suit the room, and the tap cannot follow it.

Check your flow rate as well. A freestanding filler needs decent pressure to fill in a reasonable time; on a weak or unboosted supply a large bath will take considerably longer than the owner expects, and that cannot be improved after installation. Tell us your system type and we will say honestly whether it will perform.

If you prefer a curved spout to the straight one, the DO2009 is the same mixer with a different profile.
