Product description
The Coalbrook Decimal 1200mm Double Basin Vanity Unit DV9120 brings the Decimal collection to a bathroom installation. Decimal takes its inspiration from Sir Joseph Whitworth's Millionth Machine of the 1840s, which measured to one millionth of an inch, and the fronts carry a crisp chamfered edge in place of a handle. Available in seven hand-painted finishes: Brazed Brown, Gauge Green, Linen Line, Metric Marine, Subtle Silk, Tenth Tuscan and Whitworth White.
At Home of Clay we are proud stockists of the Coalbrook furniture collection. Visit our Newcastle-under-Lyme showroom in Staffordshire to see the range and the paint samples in person, or talk a specification through with us before you commit to it.
Choosing a basin
The vanity unit price excludes the basin, so this is a second decision rather than an afterthought. There are three routes:
- Port ceramic double basin (gloss) — 1210 x 465mm, in classic white with a fully glazed slit overflow. Available with 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
- Float mineral marble (matt) — 1201 x 463mm, silica-free, made using 100% renewable energy and fully recyclable. Also 0, 1 or 3 tap holes.
- Quartz countertop — 1206 x 463mm, 20mm quartz in Beach Blanket, Midnight Mill or Whisper White, cut for the waste only as a base for a sit-on basin.
The tap hole count is the thing to settle early, because it decides which brassware will fit. Tell us the basin and the tap you have in mind and we will confirm they work together before anything is ordered.
Pricing and availability
Contact us for price. Ask for Matt or Greg on 01782 617517 or email sales@homeofclay.co.uk with the colour and basin you want, and we will come back to you the same working day with a price for the unit and basin together.
Key features
- Chamfered edges in place of handles — A clean, precise front with nothing to catch on.
- Seven hand-painted finishes — Double-sided, UV-cured paint, so the inside of the unit is finished as well as the face.
- Glass-sided drawers and quality hardware — Soft-close, glass-sided drawer boxes on synchronised runners.
- Basin priced separately — Coalbrook prices the vanity unit without the basin. Port ceramic, Float mineral marble or a quartz countertop are ordered alongside it, and we will quote them together.
- 20-year guarantee — Backed by Coalbrook's 20-year guarantee, and fully assembled using 100% renewable energy.

The double unit takes two basins side by side, for a shared bathroom where two people get ready at once.
Integrated interior lighting is available as an upgrade on the drawer units. Worth deciding at the point of order rather than later.
Decimal is the colour range of the three Coalbrook collections. Where Shepherd and Farnolls are about oak, Decimal is about choosing a colour, from the calm of Whitworth White and Subtle Silk to the depth of Metric Marine and Tenth Tuscan. Painted colours vary with screen and light, so ask to see the samples.
