Key features

Getting the position right

The rough sets into the floor before the screed goes down and its position is fixed against where the bath will stand. Correcting it later means lifting the floor.

Settle two things before ordering: the exact bath model and its final position, and which side the tap column stands on. A freestanding bath is often moved 100mm during a build to suit the room, and the tap cannot follow it.

Check your flow rate as well. A freestanding filler needs decent pressure to fill a large bath in reasonable time, and that cannot be improved after installation. Tell us your system type and we will say honestly whether it will perform.
